The slippery slope of the road less traveled

Exacto just read me this quote from the Lemony Snicket book he's reading, and I just had to post it on here. It cracks me up!

"A man of my acquaintance once wrote a poem called 'The Road Less Traveled,' describing a journey he took through the woods along a path most travelers never used. The poet found that the road less traveled was peaceful but quite lonely, and he was probably a bit nervous as he went along, because if anything happened on the road less traveled, the other travelers would be on the road more frequently traveled and so couldn't hear him as he cried for help. Sure enough, that poet is now dead."

Conference Delights

It's been a while since I've had time to post. One of my beloved friends from Tallahassee is here visiting, and we've kept busy with some organizing projects and just keeping up with the boys. Janice is REALLY talented with lots of things, and is so helpful--it's delightful to have her here.

Yesterday and today were wonderful times to come out of the world and just be together as a family and as a Church. I always just love Conference weekend. We made pigs-in-a-blanket and blue jello jigglers, and had our traditional Conference M'n'M's for the game the boys play.

Here's a picture of the boys and Janice just before leaving for the church this morning:

One of Janice's talents is cooking, and tonight she made us a delicious meat loaf, and showed me how to make it look like a cake. The "frosting" is mashed potatoes. :) Here's a picture of how it turned out:
