Day 24 - { twelve years of real-life romance }

anniversary surprise for gras

Of all the blessings I am grateful for, this is perhaps the greatest. How can I ever be sad or complain, when I am sealed eternally to my beloved and our children? No matter what happens in this life, as long as we are faithful, our bond is permanent and unbreakable.

As my grandpa wrote in his journal -- soon after being sealed in the Mesa Temple to his beloved just before deployment to active duty in World War II -- "Now I have something that can never be taken away."

I love you, Darling. Many, many happy returns!

Oh, Happy Anniversary!! You guys are such a cute couple (still :). I love watching you together. I am very grateful that my sweet and wonderful sister found such a perfect match for her. (Unless of course HE found you...)

Michelle, happy, happy anniversary! I love the poem you shared and the quote from your grandpa's journal. So beautiful! I have to echo your thoughts and feelings you've expressed here. So beautiful.

And, thank you, too, for the beautiful comment you left on my blog today - I loved the thoughts you shared.

Simply beautiful. I hope you had a wonderful anniversary. One of my favorite memories is spending that beautiful day at/in the Arizona Temple with you two.
Aunt Vauna told me that one of her co-workers said, when hearing she was headed to your wedding, "so, how long do you give them?" She said, "the rest of their lives and more" and he was dumbfounded.
I'm grateful to be a part of a family that truly values marriage, its covenants, and knows of its eternal potential.

Congrats! You said it perfectly...a bond that is unbreakable is what gets me through the hard days...the bond that will make it possible to see our little ones again.

Beautiful post, Michelle! It's hard to believe already 12 years have past since we were in the Mesa Temple for your wedding. We love Chris! You married well--so did he. You and Chris have brought so much joy to our lives. We LOVE those Baker grandsons too! Dad was just mentioning Grandpa's quote in FHE last night. I'm so grateful that we are family forever!
