As we pulled away from the house the other day in our swagger wagon, Hummer commented from the back:
"I need my family to survive."
< pause >
"That's why I don't run away."

5/2/11 - After we sang the opening song for Family Home Evening, Hummer said, "How come that song sounds out of tune when we sing it in Primary, but it sounds in tune when we sing it at home?"
11/20/10 - Rosebud had some pretty dramatic hair after waking up, with a tuft sticking up on top, and a tuft on each side. Hummer said: "Roseberry is a triceratops!"
10/10 - DC called on Hummer to say the blessing. { Silence. } Me: "Hummer, Daddy called on you to say the prayer." Hummer: "Oh, I thought you said 'Hayden', who is in my class. I wondered who you were talking about."
10/10 - when the boys were a few minutes into a game of Monopoly. . . . Fluffy (in awe): "It's almost like magic how fast Hummer loses!"
10/10 - Fluffy: "The word 'inkling' reminds me of a baby octopus."
The righteous work we do within the walls of our homes is most sacred; its benefits are eternal in nature.

Relationships are fundamentally about having stuff other people need.
That is HILARIOUS!
It wasn't until I was late into my 20s that I realized how unusual and amazing my family was/is.
It's easy to take for granted what we always have...stability, love, feelings of worth, etc. Only later in life do we realize how many people grow up without that.
Well, at least you know he's staying put! Lol. Love the swagger wagon video!
Know those swagger wagons well. Spend a great deal of our life sitting behind them, waiting.
That's hilarious! I have a friend whose little girl just told her that she wants to grow up to be a mommy... so she can wear big flip flops. I love children!!
how sweet. i love when boys say 'i love you' in the most unusual ways.
