DC's wonderful sister Vauna asked about his { ahem--polish fingernails } BOOK, that we very discreetly alluded to in my last post.
{ take a moment to pick up the buttons that popped off my sweater at the very mention of my husband's BOOK }
Visit this link at AMAZON.COM to see what we were talking about.
A German publisher contacted DC about publishing his doctoral treatise. He spent some time making revisions and getting permission from the artists he interviewed, and now it is a (very expensive) book!
It's funny because we're both kind of starry-eyed about this, and spent several minutes just gazing at the page. No idea how many people will buy it--it's listed at 49 Euros! :) --but we just think it's cool anyway.
DC wants me to mention that my posting about this is NOT in any way, shape or form, suggesting that anyone should feel any pressure whatsoever to buy it. (And those of you who know DC personally know that he is the absolute least pressuring sort of person on the planet. :)
I just wanted to brag on my cutie.
And now I'll go try to restrain the paparazzi.

Sehr, sehr kuhl!! Go, Dr. Baker! You are amazing! (especially on the guitar)
Smart woman, marrying him, Michelle. :)
You're famous!!! Wow! I had to stare at that amazon page for a while, too. How awesome to see your husband's name there. I feel smarter now just after reading the description of the book (even though I hardly had a clue what it meant)! =)
Congratulations, Chris!!! I know that took a TON of your time and energy (and probably yours, too, Michelle). Way to go!
Hey that's awesome. I always knew I'd have a famous friend one day.
Next time though I would appreciate it if you didn't pressure me to buy it. ;) Just kidding.
Congrats Chris! That is very exciting. Now that you're famous, I wonder what comes next. :-)
That is very impressive... I would be bragging too! I checked it out on amazon, but I don't think I am smart enough to buy it...I didn't even know what one of the words meant (or how to pronounce it)in the title.
That is awesome that your dissertation is published and sells on amazon.com! You're famous to the world now (you were to us already)! Will you still be our friend? :)
Wow! Way to go Chris. Lashelle
How awesome is that? Congrats to both of you for all your hard work getting him through school ( I always have to congratulate the wife too because I know first hand that it takes a lot of support, patience, hard work, and love on your end to get it done too)
That's so exciting! Congratulations!
Thank you soooo much for commenting, it does help to know that I'm not the only one going through this. It is nice to find someone who truly understands everything I'm feeling/thinking/been through. Thanks!
Ryan thinks he should make this required reading for our children's violin teachers.
That's so cool! Good job, Chris! That really is quite impressive; it's so tough to get published!
Thanks for the congrats! It's still a bit of a shock to me that it's published. I always hated writing papers in school (ask Michelle), but when all my interviewees are there to tell me what to say, and they say neat things, it's not so bad, and even exciting. And Mom, you will ALWAYS be my friend!
Wow! THAT is awesome! CONGRATS!
Thanks for stopping by! I so love your blog! And you inspired me to do a post on WHY my Christmas Cards are becoming St. Patricks Day cards! They seriously ARE! UGH!
Hey stop by and VOTE on my purplicious contest!!!! Only two days left!
That is so exciting...having anything published is great! Smiles to you & your family.
Brag on! We should be able to brag about how amazing our husbands are! Congratulations to you both.
That is so awesome! I mean Wow! It will also make a good trivia question for the McCleve Family Reunion Game. :)
Goozhob, Goozhob, D.C.!!! I was so happy to read about your book, and to see it, in all of its glory, at AMAZON.COM! I hope you get a free copy and that you'll be reaping the royalties :)
