Homeward Bound

If I ever start a new blog (which I realize I will need to do if I ever have a daughter), this is what I would like to call it. (Currently that address is taken by someone who posted once in 2001. Arg.)

Anyways. My sister Becky recently has begun to really develop her PhotoShop skills. She took this picture while they were here visiting last week, and created a beautiful statement about where our family was created and where we hope to be someday. (Look closely for the hidden picture within the picture).

 

The precious restored gospel of Jesus Christ

I love this quote from Elder Uchtdorf that expresses so well the need for prophets in our world:

"Today, we have again apostles, seers, and revelators who are watchmen on the tower, messengers of supernal, healing truth. God speaks to us through them. They are profoundly aware of the different circumstances we members are living in. They are in this world but not of this world. They point the way, and they offer help for our difficulties, not through the wisdom of this world but from an eternal Source."

How grateful I am to live in a day where prophets are on the earth. I know that Pres. Monson is a prophet of God, and speaks for Him today!

Fluffy turns 7

May 17th marked 7 years since we welcomed our second son into the family. He's called Fluffy because from the very beginning his light, soft hair liked to stand up in the back. If you see in pictures that it is not sticking up, that's because of some serious gel and hairspray. :)

 

I love Fluffy because. . . .

he has a cheerful, good-natured temperament

he gives AWESOME hugs

he has a sweet, contagious grin

he forgives quickly and even undeservingly

he is affectionate and loving

he gets excited about happy things
